NRA APPROVED CLASSES  Whether you are interested in recreational shooting, competition, hunting, gun collecting, historical reenactment, home safety, or personal protection -- the basics are where to start! NRA Basic Firearm Training Courses teach you the safety principles and help you develop the Knowledge, skills, and attitude that are needed to successfully pursue your shooting interests. Basic courses provide hands on learning opportunities in the following areas: - Safe firearm handling
- Firearm parts and operation
- Ammunition and its function
- Shooting fundamentals and an opportunity to develop them on the range
- How to select, clean and store a firearm
- Review of various activities available to help participants develop and improve their shooting skills

Some Class Requirements to Bring Eye protection Hearing protectors Spare Magazines (Minimum 2 spares - more is better) Firearm (.22 cal and check with Chris for more info. Full-size gun recommended) Ammunition (100 Rounds at least. Depends on course and time ) Clothing suitable for all weather conditions, (hot, cold, rain, snow) Collard Shirts Ball cap Sunscreen (spring through fall) Water bottle or small cooler (especially in summer) Lawn chair or portable stool Bring Lunch and snacks Bring Baby Wipes / Sanity wipes, for hands and face *Before taking any classes, check with Chris prior, classroom availability is limited, all classes must be prepaid. All classes are non-refundable. In the event you are unable to attend, you automatically have a seat in the next class since you already paid.
